LOLER Inspections of arboricultural equipment
We provide this equipment inspection service for arboricultural
companies or others using tree climbing equipment (such as ecologists
carrying out bat or other ecological surveys).
LOLER is the “Lifting Operations and
Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998”. It applies to the planning
and management of ‘lifting operations’, and the suitability, maintenance
and inspection of equipment used in these operations. All aerial
tree work falls under these regulations.
It is a requirement under LOLER that all equipment is subject to
‘Thorough Examination by a Competent Person’ at intervals of 6 months
for personal climbing equipment and 12 months for rigging equipment.
Jon Coe trained with Treevolution and is qualified to provide this
inspection service, and to advise your company on how best to ensure
compliance with the regulations.
We are happy to travel a reasonable distance to inspect at your
premises, depending on the amount of work required – please contact
us to discuss this and our rates.
We carry Professional Indemnity Insurance to a limit of £250,000
to cover this work.
